Ms. Wachira is a Registered Nurse who has worked in various clinical settings including hospitals, home health, and long-term care facilities over the past 5 years.  She is currently earning a Master of Public Health with a Community Health focus and interning with the local public health department. 

Elizabeth has a desire to educate and serve her community.  She is actively involved with her church's daycare program, conducts health awareness sessions for daycare employees, and serves as a church community liaison for access to health resources.  She believes her education, training, and service will help her develop as a community health educator and advocate.  She is convinced the "More Than a Picnic" program is a promising and needed program which will allow her to be an asset to the team and participating families.
